Nokia Asha 205 and Asha 206 released

Nokia has announced two new handsets in the Asha range – Nokia Asha 205 and Asha 206. Both the feature phone handsets are designed for offering consumers devices with Internet connectivity at affordable price points.  Both phones come with dual-SIM variants as well, and look to dethrone the Nokia Asha 201 as the cheapest offering currently in the Asha lineup.

Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia Asha 206 are the first mobile phone devices to include Nokia’s Slam feature. Slam allows users to share multimedia content such as photos and videos with nearby friends almost instantly. Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices. The recipient need not to have Slam installed. Nokia states that without consuming Internet data users can ‘Slam’ their content to another device faster than with Bluetooth alone in just a few clicks.

Another prominent feature of both the Nokia Asha handsets is the dedicated Facebook buttons. With this button you can access the social network with one click. Nokia has also announced Dual SIM version of the handsets.
