iPad Mini with Retina Display leaked via alleged images

iPad Mini is one of the most selling tablets since it has released. By the time the smaller iPad hit the shelves there were already rumors of the next iPad Mini with Retina Display in works. It seems all those rumors of the next iPad Mini are true; the new iPad Mini with Retina Display has been leaked in images.

The folks at WeiPhone have come across what appears to be the images of the rear shell casing on the next-gen iPad mini. The images, as can be seen here, depict the exterior and the innards of the casing, which has a nice sleek look and is very similar to the current-gen iPad mini. There is a slight increase in the thickness of the casing compared to the one on the current-gen, which might have been done to accommodate the Retina display and probably a bigger battery.

Till now, except for the Retina Display nothing much is confirmed about the next iPad. But there are strong indications that Apple will unveil the new smaller iPad in June this year so we will keep our eyes and ears open. But currently we will ask you to take these details with a pinch of salt and classify them as rumors only.

iPad Mini

The iPad Mini is a mini tablet computer designed, developed, and marketed by Apple Inc. It was announced on October 23, 2012, as the fifth major product in the iPad line and the first to feature a reduced screen size of 7.9 inches, in contrast to the standard 9.7 inches. It features similar internal specifications as the iPad 2, including its display resolution.

It was released on November 2, 2012 in nearly all of Apple’s markets. In India, though Apple released the product little later; the mini tablet was available on retail from December.

The iPad Mini is available in India in 16/32/64 GB variants with Wi Fi and Wi Fi + Cellular options. The pricing for the same starts from Rs. 21,900 (for the 16 GB Wi Fi only version) and goes upto Rs. 41,900 (for the 64 GB Wi Fi + Cellular version).
