HTC M7 images leaked again, MWC debut possible

HTC M7 will be the flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese giant for 2013, that we all know off. After a recent spate of rumors, HTC M7 has been leaked in its full avatar, thanks to popular Twitter user @eveleaks, and may soon release at the upcoming MWC event in Barcelona.

The first images of the HTC M7 have popped up thanks to the very reliable@evleaks. The leaked image suggests that HTC is gunning for a completely new design language that dumps the sexy curves of the current ‘One’ series of smartphones and adopts a more boxy design language, which has sharp edges and straight lines similar in some ways to the iPhone. That said, the image posted is a render, bereft of any branding and this may not be the final design. The leak also says that it will be launched next month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

HTC M7 Details

Specs wise, it is going to be a notch above the HTC Butterfly in the pecking order. When compared to the HTC Butterfly, the M7 is rumored to have a smaller 4.7-inch display with a full-HD resolution, instead of the 5-inch panel.

This could also make it the first smartphone to feature a sub-5-inch full-HD display. It is expected to have a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz, but the name of the chipset has not been revealed. However, the previous leak regarding the M7 suggested a Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2,300 mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

It’s worth noting that these specs more or less match the Sony Xperia Z, which we saw at CES, so it will be an interesting battle between both the devices.
