Galaxy S4 will have Octa-Core Exynos CPU

Galaxy S4 is going to be announced on March 14 at New York and the release date nears so does the number of rumors around the next Samsung flagship smartphone. Among the recent ones, the Galaxy S4 will indeed feature a Octa – Core Exynos CPU as confirmed by the leaked AnTuTu Benchmark results for a Samsung smartphone. These leaked results are the second in row, after recently we told you about Benchmark 2.0 results of the Galaxy S4.

Reports last month suggested that Samsung would be ditching its homegrown processor for a Snapdragon 600 SoC. Now, leaked Antutu benchmark test results, which were revealed by Androidiani, confirm that the Exynos chipset has not been replaced in the Galaxy S4.

If these leaks are true, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will have an Exynos 5410 processor. According to the test scores, the CPU is clocked at 1.8GHz with a 4+4 core setup. With all that power, the phone is set to top the charts. And that’s very much the case. Compared to a Nexus 4, which is powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the benchmark results show that the Exynos 5 Octa has a crazy final tally of 24,894, which makes it nearly 40 percent faster than the Nexus.

Galaxy S4 Rumored Specs

According to the rumor mill the Galaxy S4 will supposedly feature a 4.99-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera and it will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Previously there were even rumors that the company will announce a mini Galaxy S4 and a new Galaxy SmartWatch, to take on Apple iWatch,  at the same event. But there are no strong indicators whether both these products will be introduced, until now only confirmed news is the release of Galaxy S4.

All the details for the Galaxy S4 will be unveiled the Samsung Unpacked Event – Episode 1 scheduled on Marc 14 at Times Square, New York.
