Budget Friendly Tablet – Acer Iconia B1 could make Jan end debut

There is no denying the fact that budget friendly tablets are going to rule the roost in India in 2013. But until now only the local players were taking the full advantage of budget friendly tablets. Now there are strong indications that a major hardware vendor in Acer will soon release its own budget tablet – Acer Iconia B1 for the Indian markets.

According to NDTV, Acer is all set to release its budget friendly tablet Acer Iconia B1 for the Indian markets by January end. The website further gives hint on the pricing of the Acer Iconia B1; the budget friendly tablet will be priced at Rs. 7,999 for the Indian markets if the sources are to be believed.

Well the Acer Iconia B1 was recently in news as many industry insiders said about the budget tablet was going to retail at $99. Though the tablet has missed that mark for the Indian markets, but we will take this price any day.

The budget friendly tablet Acer Iconia B1 is likely to sport a 7-inch screen with a 1024×600 resolution. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor alongside 512MB RAM and come with 8GB internal storage (expandable via microSD slot), GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software side too, the Acer Iconia B1 may run the Google’s latest Android Jelly Bean OS.
