Acer Iconia B1 – 7″ tablet finally unveiled ahead of CES 2013
Acer Iconia B1 has just been introduced as the latest addition to its lineup of Android-running tablets. The new slate is called the rather peculiar B1-A71 and will cost about €119 after taxes in the European markets, as announced by the region specific Acer website. This will make it the most affordable Android 4.1 Jelly Bean slate from a big manufacturer.
Acer Iconia B1 is the same budget friendly tablet that we told you about recently. The Iconia B1 – A71 tablet will make its debut first in the Indian markets and is said to be priced at around Rs. 7990 in India. The Android Jelly Bean tablet will make its official debut in India by January end this year.
Acer Iconia B1 Details
Acer Iconia B1 is likely to sport a 7-inch screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor alongside 512MB RAM and come with 8GB internal storage (expandable via microSD slot), GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. On the software side too, the Acer Iconia B1 will run the Google’s latest Android Jelly Bean OS.
The tablet is already up on Acer’s India site and a Bulgarian blog has already put up its review. The Bulgarian blog further states, “Performance is very similar [to competing tablets], especially from the point of view of applications users use. You don’t tell the difference unless you are a gameaholic.”
Anyways at Rs. 7999 Acer Iconia B1 is surely going to be a steal as there are no known world re known manufacturers in this price segment which offer Android Jelly Bean experience out of the box.
